Welcome to the Prince Albert.
We hope you enjoy your stay with us and your time in Nelson. Below we will highlight a few of our house rules, hours of operations, directions to various parts of the property and also highlight some of the great things to do in and around the region.
The number 1 thing to remember is to please come and talk to any of the staff members if possible. We can help with recommending tours, extending stays, advice on activities or just a quiet chat at the end of the day while at the bar ;-)
If you are wanting to extend your stay at any time please either click the link below or come see as at Reception. As a current guest you will receive 10% off your next stay. House Rules
· No Smoking anywhere in the property. Vaping in the courtyard is ok but not in the rooms. We have a smoking deck in the carpark
· Quiet time is from 10pm. Please respect other guests
· No friends in the communal areas. More than welcome in our public spaces. Bar, Restaurant, Café and Beer Garden.
· Due to licensing regulations no food or drink can be consumed in the public spaces unless it is bought here.
· Once the bar closes our 24 access is via the carpark

7am - 2pm
· Bar - Monday Thru Sunday
Midday - Late

Restaurant - Monday thru Sunday
Snack Menu: Midday to late
Lunch Menu: Midday - 2pm
Dinner Menu: 5pm - 8pm
Things to do in the region
Nelson is a true playground that caters to everyone. from extreme mountain biking, to leisurely hikes, hitting the links or perusing the various art galleries it really has something for everyone.
Below is a small list of things to do. please feel free to come and talk to any of our staff members to get more information, or to book any tours that you might like to do.
Disc Golf
There a few courses in the region with the closest being a short 15min walk up the Maitai Valley from The Prince Albert. We have discs at reception that are free to borrow. See a staff member
Mountain Biking
An extensive network of trials that range from beginner to expert. See link below to talk to the experts on bike hire and what will suit your abillity. The iconic Dun Mountain trial begins and ends at The Prince Albert. How convenient!
Abel Tasman National park
The smallest but busiest national park in the country. It is inevitably what gets people coming to Nelson. Numerous ways to explore it so come and see a staff member and we can help cater something that suits your energy and budget levels.
Walking & Hiking
From a casual walk along the Maitai river, an energetic stroll up to the centre of New Zealand or something more vigorous it is all on our doorstep. See staff for recommendations.
Art Galleries & Founders Park
A plethora of galleries is complimented by Founders park which acts as an open air gallery of Nelson historic buildings
